Fulton County Senior Transportation
A joint program of the Fulmont Community Action Agency, Inc. and Fulton County Office for the Aging. Providing free transportation to Fulton County Senior Citizens for medical appointments, day care, food sites, shopping, banking and social events.
 
Head Start
Fulmont Community Action Agency, Inc. Head Start is a federally funded, comprehensive early childhood program that serves children ages 3-5 and their families. We provide a wide range of services in the areas of education (school readiness & social skills) medical, dental, mental health, nutrition, disabilities and transition. We believe that the parent is the primary educator of their child and therefore, parent involvement is of the utmost importance in the Head Start program. Head Start also provides nutritious meals served to the children daily, educational field trips, parent training, advocacy and community involvement.
 
Community Services Department
Food pantry, clothing, baked goods, information and referrals to Fulmont programs and other services in the community. Clients are low income. W.I.C., Head Start, HEAP application assistance (Montgomery County only), FEMA, Family Development Counseling and Weatherization. Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program(VITA), free income tax preparation and processing for income eligible families. No fees for agency services or referrals. Extra Helpings Food Buying Coop - an inexpensive way to purchase nutritous food. (Fonda, Amsterdam, Fort Plain and Northville only)
 
Energy Services Department
Provides Energy Services to HEAP eligible households in both Fulton and Montgomery counties. These services are open to both homeowners and renters. Information or applications can be obtained at any of the Fulmont outreach centers located in Amsterdam, Gloversville, Northville, Fort Plain or at our main office in Fonda.
 
Women, Infants & Children (WIC)
WIC is the supplemental food program for pregnant, breast-feeding and post partum Women, Infants & Children up to the age of five (5). WIC provides nutrition education and nutritious foods to income eligible families.
 
Wheels-For-Work
The Wheels-For-Work program is administered by the Community Services Department. This program serves Fulton, Montgomery and Schoharie Counties and provides vehicles to TANF eligible families to secure or maintain employment and promote self-sufficiency. The program also provides vehicle repair, registrations and licensing, lifeskill classes, and defensive driving. Fulmont continually solicits tax deductible vehicle donations from both private individuals and businesses. Services in Schoharie County are provided through a partnership with Fulmont Community Action Agency and Schoharie County Community Action Program.
